(La Liberation de Paris, 1944)Incredible, historically-important documentary shot by the French Resistance during the battle of Paris in August 1944. See the French Resistance create an uprising in Paris under German occupation. After ten days they get backup as the Free French 2nd Armored Division of general Leclerc enters Paris. Urban warfare ensues. German and Vichy loyalists are taken prisoners. General Von Choltitz surrenders to Leclerc. Finally, the US enters the city and de Gaulle delivers his famous speech.
